2012…Our Plans

2012 has arrived and we are super excited at S&S Digital Designs. We will be doing our best to make this our best year yet for our business. If you are reading this post you have already noticed the newly designed website for S&S Digital Designs. It’s currently just setup with our basic info and photos, but we have plans to add our social media information to the site as well. This will include our Twitter and Facebook pages. To go along with our social media info we are also throwing around the idea of placing a sign-up to start receiving emails from us. This is something that has been on our plate for a couple years, but we have just never got the ball rolling with the emails. Once we do decide to start sending out emails they will include business news, coupons, and possibly even an area requesting some feedback from our customers. For those of you who have followed us over the last few years you have probably noticed the new logo as well. We felt it was time to spice things up a little and get some new marketing materials created. You can expect to start seeing some new business cards floating around real soon.

Items you can expect to see or hear about in 2012 from S&S Digital Designs:

Online Shopping Cart – We are expecting this to be a great tool for selling our team posters and even maybe some of our individual posters. It will be setup with a secure checkout through PayPal.
Facebook Updates – Our Facebook page is starting to become a great tool of ours and we hope to build on it in 2012.
Twitter – we are slowly getting our Tweets going
Coupons/Discounts – Package deals, team discounts….
NEW IDEAS -
Expanding our reach – We are starting to get more questions coming from outside our local area.

Dylan Frantz Poster Design

At the end of last years high school basketball I was asked to design a poster of a Phillipsburg High School senior. When we found out who it was, Dylan Frantz, I knew it would be a great opportunity to get some great photos to help me produce a quality poster for his family. For his photos we scheduled a time for me to setup my studio lights and camera in the high school gymnasium. We got a lot of great shots and were able to produce 3 different posters for them.

Over the last couple years many customers have asked if they could have the option to update their own site. So in order for this to happen we had to look into some new options for the websites we develop. What we found is a Content Management System, WordPress, that allows our customers to change site content, photos, slide shows, contact forms, etc. Since we started using this we have received a lot of great feedback from our customers.

The Wheatland LifeFest website was beyond what I had imagined. The layout, the graphics, the overal design was terrific. The administration site was also easy to use when creating and post things on the site. Steven was very good in answering questions when things were beyond me and very timely in his responses. I highly recommend Steven and his work.

Custom Designed Posters

If you are looking for a custom designed poster we can design it for you! We develop two different size posters (13×19) or (24×36). Generally we prefer to take the photos, but if it does not work out that way we will accept photos from others. Starting this year we will be asking that appointments to be setup to take photos. What this means is that we would prefer to take posed action shots outside of a game/event. This allows us to control the lighting and the areas that we can stand to take the photos. We are hoping that this will help us produce higher quality posters and speed up our turnaround time.

Hey Cowboy Fans and Parents

It’s time for another Phillipsburg Cowboys season and we have completely re-designed their website to allow for easier navigation and easier for the coaches to post updates. I was real excited when I was contacted to design a new Cowboys website. It’s was actually one that I knew would be a lot of fun to do and could get a little creative with it.

The biggest part of the website would probably be the new Roster setup options for the coaches. Now they can easily fill out a form and upload the players photo and a new page will be created for them. We also setup areas on the site that will allow videos to be added, and then we tried to create some eye-catching images to direct people to the Hall of Fame.

Prairie Horizon Agri Energy

One of the latest websites that we have launched is the new Prairie Horizon Agri Energy website. They contacted us hoping that we could try and help clean up their current site and to offer them some on-going maintenance for the new site. The site still has a few areas that will have some more content added, but when it’s all finished it should be a great tool for people to learn more about their local ethanol plant. Currently the site displays their employee information along with the featured employees. In the very near future we hope to have descriptions added for each area of the plant and how it all operates. They are very excited to now have the ability to post company updates and to feature all of their employees on the site.

We think the poster turned out great! We’ve had so many positive comments on it. And…yes, everytime we look at it, we think what it would be like to have triplets! We wanted a way to capture all of her sports from 7th grade & love the final product. Thanks Steven!

Ron’s Restoration, Inc.

Ron’s Restoration, Inc. is a company that restores and builds high quality street rods, trucks, classics, etc. They have had many cars featured in magazines and so we wanted to give them a site that really represented their quality of work. The site still has a few empty areas that we are waiting to get information for.

Overall the site allowed us to get a little creative and has been a lot of fun working with them.
